The International Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) is thrilled to announce that registration for the 2024 International Conference is now officially open!

The IRDR 2024 International Conference will take place in Beijing on October 22-23. This Conference is the first one after the official launch of IRDR Phase II. It will be a gathering of IRDR Community to share knowledges and insights regarding the IRDR Action Plan 2025-2027 and conclude policy recommendations for global scientific collaboration in disaster risk reduction. The outputs will contribute to 2024 World Science and Technology Development Forum and 2025 Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction.

Parallel sessions of this Conference focusing on integrated research and multi-sectoral actions will be proposed organized by IRDR National Committees, IRDR International Centres of Excellence, IRDR Young Scientists and IRDR partners.

The overall purpose of the 2021 Conference is to reach a renewed consensus on the mission of STEI and put forward a novel proposal on the Global Research Agenda for disaster risk reduction and risk-informed development toward 2030 and beyond.
