Integrated Research on Disaster Risk would like to congratulate Prof. Huadong Guo, Director-General of the Centre for Observation and Digital Earth (CEODE, CAS) and Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) Ex-Officio, who on December 9^th, 2011, has been elected as one of the 51 new academicians by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).  Earning the title of Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is a lifelong honor, representing the highest level of science and technology in China awarded by the Chinese Government.
