IRDR Workshop Summary - New Technology vs Disaster Risk Reduction: Opportunities and Emerging Risks

On 4 May 2023, IRDR held the online workshop on New Technology vs Disaster Risk Reduction: Opportunities and Emerging Risks, 8 speakers and over 108 attendees from about 52 countries got together and shared the perspectives on the topic of rapid technological advances and knowledge contribute to all aspects risk reduction.
The workshop is the first pre-session of IRDR 2023 Conference.

IRDR programme visited Zhijiang Laboratory today to explore collaboration on advancing AI-DRR frontier theory, applied tools, and capacity building and serving global needs, especially in countries and regions with the highest disaster risk and weakest technical resources.
