Call for pariticipation: The 3rd International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals, Sept 6-8 2023

Scientific and technological innovations are important tools to support the implementation of sustainable development goals. Big data, as an important content of digital technology, plays a crucial role in supporting the realization of Sustainable Development Goals. In order to promote the sharing of methods, technologies and cases of big data and digital technology in support of sustainable development, The 3rd International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS2023) will be held in Beijing, China, Sept 6-8 2023. The Forum will not only provide a global high-level academic communication platform on the use of technology facilitation mechanism to achieve the SDGs, but also help to serve the relevant United Nations agencies and Member States to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

FBAS 2023 will present six Special Sessions, each offering unique insights into critical aspects of sustainable development. These sessions include:

1. Advancing Agrifood Systems through Big Data: Presented by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

2. Earth Observation's Role in Sustainable Development: Hosted by the Group on Earth Observations (GEO)

3. Empowering Youth for SDGs: Organized by Youth Groups

4. Earth Observation for Sustainable Development Goals: Offered by the Alliance of Sustainable Development Goals Satellites (ASSA)

5. Digital Technology's Role in Advancing Sustainability: Presented by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS)

6. CBAS International Advisory Committee Session: Hosted by the CBAS International Advisory Committee

IRDR continues its support to FBAS2023 and co-organises the Youth Special Session and DRR Session (download for the Concept Note)
