On 2 April 2026, IRDR Scientific Committee member Dr. Nuraini Rahma Hanifa, delegated by the IRDR Executive Director, represented IRDR at the 7th AADMER Partnership Conference (APC) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Hosted by Indonesia's BNPB, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the AHA Centre, the event convened global partners to pledge support for the newly adopted AADMER Work Programme 2026–2030.
During the Partners Session, Dr. Hanifa outlined key collaborative areas: understanding the "hidden" drivers of vulnerability, advancing anticipatory action through integrated socio-physical monitoring, and scaling AI-driven tools tailored for ASEAN. Furthermore, she underscored the importance of empowering early-career researchers through the IRDR Young Scientists Programme, inviting partners to co-design practical solutions for regional safety.

Representing the Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC), IRDR Young Scientist Dr. Mizan Bisri expressed ADRC’s strong commitment to the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030 in key areas including human capital development, technological integration for disaster management, and Asia’s collective leadership post-SFDRR. Having led the technical team that supported ASEAN in creating its AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030, Dr. Bisri's achievement stands as a powerful testament to the value of the IRDR Young Scientists network in cultivating global leaders.

By providing actionable scientific evidence, IRDR reaffirms its ongoing dedication to helping ASEAN translate research into scalable actions and expresses its strong willingness to forge concrete collaboration with ASEAN and its partners, such as ADRC.
