IRDR ICoE-CCOUC's Upcoming Public Forum on Disaster Risk and Health Resilience

The Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) programme is pleased to announce the upcoming 15th Anniversary Public Forum for the IRDR International Centre of Excellence for the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK (CCOUC) for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response (IRDR ICoE-CCOUC), to be held on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, under the theme “Disaster Risk and Health Resilience: Insights from Academia, Education and Practice”.

IRDR ICoE-CCOUC was established in 2016, and its mission is to serve as a platform for research, education, and community knowledge transfer in the areas of disaster and medical humanitarian crisis policy development, planning, and response. This anniversary forum will therefore exemplify that mission by bringing together researchers, educators, and practitioners to examine the critical intersection of disaster risk reduction and public health.

The hybrid event will convene participants both in person at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin and online via Zoom, reflecting a continued commitment to accessible, inclusive knowledge exchange on disaster risk and health resilience.
